Booking Your Cruise
Q) How much is the deposit and is it refundable? A) The deposit is $600 per person, including children. For example, a family of four would place a $2400 deposit, a family of three would place an $1800 deposit, and a couple would deposit $1200. It is refundable without penalty until September 20, 2008. Q) What is final payment and when is it due? A) Final payment is the balance due. Unlike other vacations your cruise is paid in advance. Final payment date is September 20, 2008. Q) What EXACTLY is included in the price of the cruise? A) Your cruise is 85% inclusive. Included in the price of your cruise is your cabin, ocean transportation, all meals and snacks (with the exception of Sterling Steakhouse and Sabatini's Italian restaurant which have small cover charges), some drinks (mainly those that can be found in the buffet area such as tea, ice tea, coffee, sometimes punch or lemonade), most on-board entertainment (with exceptions such as the casino, bingo, and horse racing), and, the use of most of the ship's facilities such as the gym (please note certain activities such as yoga may have small surcharges). Items NOT included are alcoholic drinks, soda (pop), purchases made in the on-board shops, gambling, specialty restaurants, shore tours, items of a personal nature, and tips. These items will be charged to your on-board account. |

Q) How can I get information on current Passport requirements? A) Click here for the latest Passport information regarding travel in and out of the United States. Q) When will my cruise documents/Adventures Ashore brochure and tour reservation forms be sent? A) The following schedule gives the standard guidelines for mailing documents. At approximately 75 days prior to your cruise, the pre cruise information packet is processed for distribution. Upon final payment and completion of your Passenger Information Form, additional cruise documentation may be sent by Princess at approximately 45 days prior to your cruise. Processing and mailing can take up to two weeks. CLOTHING
Q) How many formal/smart casual nights are scheduled for my cruise? A) When you're in port, evening dress is casual, slacks, sweaters, blouses, open-neck shirts, etc. are typically worn. Shorts, cut-off T-shirts, "torn" jeans and bare feet are not permitted in the dining room. We only have formal and smart casual. Tuxedo rental can be arranged prior to the cruise on certain itineraries. On formal nights, ladies prefer evening gowns or cocktail dresses and men turn out in tuxedos, dinner jackets, or dark suits. TIPPING POLICY
Q) What are the tipping guidelines for my cruise? A) During your cruise, you will meet many members of the Princess staff in a variety of locations as they provide you with excellent service. Additionally, many more crew behind the scenes support those who serve you directly. For your convenience a Hotel and Dining charge of $10 per passenger per day (including children) will be automatically added to your shipboard account on a daily basis. The Hotel and Dining charge will be shared amongst those staff who help provide and support your cruise experience, including the wait staff, stateroom stewards and accommodations staff, buffet stewards, galley staff, laundry staff and others. Casino dealers and Lotus Spa personnel do not share in the Hotel and Dining charge as not all passengers utilize these services. A 15% charge is automatically added to your bar charges and dining room wine account. This is shared amongst the beverage staff and their support staff, including cleaners and utility staff. |
